Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 5, 2026. Your privacy matters. Here's exactly what data we collect, how we use it, and how you stay in control.

1. Overview

Me Improve is designed with privacy as a default. If you use the app without signing in, no personal data is ever sent to our servers — everything stays on your device in your browser's local storage. If you choose to sign in, we collect only the minimum data needed to sync your progress across devices.

2. Data We Collect

Without an account (default)

No data is collected. Your goals, check-ins, and settings are stored entirely in your browser's local storage and never transmitted anywhere.

With an account (optional)

When you sign in, we store the following in our secure database:

  • Your email address (used to identify your account)
  • Your goals and daily completion records
  • Your check-in responses (mood, energy, focus, satisfaction scores)
  • Your app settings (theme, accent color)

We do not collect your name, phone number, payment information, or any sensitive personal data.

3. How We Use Your Data

  • Sync: To save and restore your progress when you sign in on a different device.
  • AI analysis: Your goals and check-in data is sent to OpenAI's API to generate personalized insight cards. This data is sent anonymously — OpenAI does not receive your email address or any identifying information. OpenAI's data usage policy applies to this processing.
  • We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond providing the app's features.

4. Third-Party Services

  • Supabase — our database and authentication provider. Data is stored in encrypted, SOC 2 compliant infrastructure. See Supabase's Privacy Policy.
  • OpenAI — used to generate AI pattern analysis. Only your goals and check-in scores are sent, never your email or identity. See OpenAI's Privacy Policy.
  • Vercel — our hosting provider. Standard web server logs (IP address, browser type) may be collected for a short period. See Vercel's Privacy Policy.

5. Data Retention

Your account data is retained for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all associated data is permanently deleted from our database within 30 days. Local (no-account) data is retained only in your browser and is removed when you clear your browser data.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access a copy of the data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your account and all associated data
  • Export your data

7. Cookies

Me Improve does not use advertising or tracking cookies. We use only essential session cookies required for authentication when you sign in.

8. Children's Privacy

Me Improve is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page with a revised date. Continued use of Me Improve after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
